Headteacher: Mr Paul Hiatt
"On being appointed as Headteacher in September 2002, I saw the opportunity to make a huge difference to the education and lives of the children at the school. I keep in close contact with all the individual children by regular teaching of every class. I also lead staff in advancing education throughout all the school."
Mr Paul Hiatt took an Honours Degree in Geography at Kingston University and completed his PGCE (Post Graduate Certificate of Education) at Cheltenham.
Mr Hiatt pursued a career in the construction industry before coming into teaching. Before joining the British School Mr Hiatt worked in a variety of schools in Gloucestershire, teaching age groups from Year 1 to Year 6. He then went on to become the Deputy Headteacher at Bussage School during a time of growth.
Mr Hiatt lives locally and is married with two teenage children. He has a wide range of interests, particularly sport and music and a passion for literature.
"My vision for the school is for every child to feel valued and for education to be an exciting experience. I very much see education as preparation for life."
