Trips and Residential
The school offers pupils a range of day trips and residential visits. During the spring term in Year 4, all the pupils are given the opportunity to take part in a residential activity weekend. Orienteering, climbing, swimming and initiative exercises are among the activities on offer. Pupils return with a great sense of achievement. In Years 5 and 6 a week-long residential visit is on offer to all pupils. Pupils not only gain in areas of personal responsibility, but they also have great fun.
Educational trips that have been organised recently include Bristol Zoo; the Sealife Centre at Weston-Super-Mare; Cotswold Farm Park; Bristol Docks; Bristol Exploratory; Westonbirt Arboretum; Oldbury Power Station; Windsor Castle; Longleat Wildlife Park. These visits reinforce the work carried out in the classroom and again are fun for the children.
