"All children have differing needs – our aim is to develop each child's individual potential within a caring and stimulating atmosphere."
T P Hiatt, Headteacher
The British School has a long tradition of serving the community of Wotton-under-Edge and we continue to build on that tradition and enhance our reputation. In recent years the school has won the UK National Science Challenge, as well as the pathfinders Careers Business Award for Primary Schools.
All children have differing needs, and our aim is to educate our pupils in a bright and caring environment and to develop their individual potential as fully as possible. There are currently 163 children at the school between Reception Class and Year 6. The class sizes range from 15 to 30 children.
We asked for feedback from our parents after they received last year's end of year reports. Here are some of the comments:
"Our son has really grown in confidence over this last year. We found the report very useful and are very proud of his achievements. Please pass on our thanks to his teacher." (Year 1 parent)
"The new report was easier to read and follow, but it also shows the quality of the teachers. Well done." (Year 3 parent)
"I liked the back page very much, social skills are as important to me as education. I do appreciate all the hard work the teachers have to put in and would like to congratulate them on this." (Year 5 parent) |
